Delay in Delivery of Approved Visas

June 11, 2015: Due to worldwide technical difficulties, we are experiencing a temporary delay in our ability to process visas, which has impacted the delivery of approved visas. We are hopeful that these issues will be resolved soon. We thank you for your patience as we work through this challenge.

My wife's visa was approved last week on 04 June 2015. Her interviewer said that the visa would most likely be delivered in a week.

I've tried calling for at least a tracking number with DHL but they said that they haven't issued one yet.

I've also tried emailing and they sent an automated response with the same message as above.

Does anyone think "worldwide technical difficulties" has something to do with the recent hacking of federal information by the chinese?

How long will it take before they turn over approved visas to the DHL for delivery?

Does anyone have any information about this? I don't know where else to look.

Thanks.

I saw the same message, but it didn't affect my husband's visa delivery. He had his interview june 2 and got his visa on 06/11/15

We didn't have a way to track anything until we got the email that it was ready to be picked up and to schedule the day you want to pick it up

Background: Interview on June 2nd, K1 visa approved, got told that I'd receive my visa within 7 business days. Since today, nothing. After trying to call multiple times, and not being able to speak to anyone, I wrote an email to ask what's going on and why I have not received my visa/any updated.

This is what I got:

Dear Ms. XX:

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our overseas passport and visa systems. This issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category.

Sincerely,

U.S. Consulate General (IV)

Consular Information Unit / km

Giessenerstrasse 30

Germany

Is anyone dealing with the same thing?

This is also for all those who were recently approved and wonder why they have not received their visa yet.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

I'm in the same boat. My fiancée just completed her interview on 06/09/2015 then we saw the message on the consulate's website this morning. It says there may be a possible delay as of 06/11/2015 but there was no news about the US Systems Hack slowing the immigration sector. Keep me updated about the status of the delivery... possible delays on your delivery could be caused by all the Colombian holidays in June.

Parents had their interview today and were told that no visas have been printed in about a week, that it is unknown when visas will begin printing and that they have to get through the backlog. This was a global issue, not country or visa type specific. It could take 2 - 3 weeks before they get their visa.
