Question: Documents for Embassy Interview

Hi everyone,

I'm just getting all my documents ready so that I have everything in place for when I receive my 'packet 3' from the embassy.

I'm checking to see if any of you that have had a K1 interview at the embassy in London took a copy of the whole set of documents sent to USCIS for the I129F petition? Also, did you take copy of your USC fiancé's birth certificate? I'm sure I saw that somewhere, but I can't find the info again so I want to be sure before I ask my fiance to get a certified copy of his BC unnecessarily.

Also, did any of you experience any issues with the CEAC website? It seems to be down at the moment, so I can't track anything or make any payments. I know our application made it to London on Thursday last week, so I'm thinking that I should have my 'packet 3' by Friday this week, or early next week.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Angi

Yes to people reporting problems with CEAC site. If you are pretty sure your case arrived in London then read your instructions and get started here.http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html Your packet 3 offers little but the same link. You can start following the steps now.

Do make sure you have your police certificate and shots before rushing off to the medical.

Documents are found in a link on the instruction page. This

Note that it is written for spouse visas too. Paragraph 2 and 3 are not about K1s. People get hung up on that. Not about your process.

No to copy of full petition.

No to American's birth certificate.

No to photo albums, and love letters, and Skype...further relationship stuff.

(You saw that in the VJ Guides and it is simply not needed at your London interview.).

You don't pay online yet. Wait until the embassy schedules your interview.
