CENOMAR Quick Question

My fiance obtained CENOMAR, but is worried because it says it was picked up and obtained by a friend of hers and it states that and it is for any legal purpose. It is printed on NSO security paper and states that she is single. Should she obtain a new one that states it is for visa purpose and obtained by her instead? Or is she okay with what she has? Personally I think she is okay because it shows she has never been married and it is on nso paper. But who knows what the embassy thinks or the CO.

Visa purpose is legal purpose, so you're good there.

Who picks up a nso document is immaterial I believe.

As long as it's her name, birthday, and otherwise identifies her as her and printed on the yellow paper, you're good to go IMO.

Yes, she's good to go. CENOMAR's main purpose is for the CO/U.S. embassy to see that she's single and can get married legally :) Mine was being received by my relative not me since I'm at work that time and all went fine so no worries. :)

Interesting.

Reality still is, for the CENOMAR or NBI it does not need to state for "U.S. VISA". The NBI needs to be for TRAVEL ABROAD, the green paper (not yellow), and it doesn't matter what purpose NBI puts on it after that.

That was my thinking Hank that as long as you have the right credentials, it shouldn't really matter if it says it is for U.S. Visa purpose or for Any Legal Purpose. It's a heavy process at times for sure. Hard to believe my fiancee's medical is next week. Going by so fast.
