IV Fee......It's been more than 30 days!?!

I paid my AOS fees more than 30 days ago and still have not been invoiced the IV fees. I've tried to call the NVC, but of course (like everyone else), it's close to impossible to get connected. I've noticed on some of the timelines that people who paid their AOS fees around the same time I did already received their IV fees, so I'm getting worried. Has anyone else been waiting more than 30 days?!

Lots wait more than 30 days. But you can call and request when the ds-261 was added to case file and if it can be reviewed if not.

Hi,

Yes, I also waited for about 30 days... called twice until a nice representative helped me and reviewed my DS-261... 2 days later I got my invoice.

I advice you to call and just ask them about your IV invoice. Most of them will help you.

best of luck

What's the best time to call the NVC?

I've called three different days and got connected (after dialing like 50 times)... my calls were around 12:50pm; 11:15am, and last night around 7:50pm. I had to wait 20 minutes though...

good luck.

I'm the agent for my sisters case, have been waiting 45 days for the iv fee to be invoiced. Called nvc today at 1:10 waited 30 mins finally got a representative who was no help. She said they were backlogged and the current timeframe is 30 days... I said I've been waiting 45 days. She said sorry its taking longer. I asked her if she could review it over the phone, she no that wasn't possible, I will just have to wait for that department to review it. I also submitted the financial and supporting documents today. And will keep calling everyday.

I waited 40 days after paying the AOS. I phoned about day 35 and was told that 42 days was about when they were getting done. (IV opening) Then I got a checklist about day 40 telling me that the DS261 had not been done...huh? It said "complete" according to their site. Then I looked at the DS261 and it then changed to incomplete....in the meantime I also got a checklist because my husband had not put in page 9 of the AOS document (856 or whatever it is). The page that you leave blank if no one helped you. He did not send it. Ding add 30-60 MORE days on! So then I got husband to call and they told him that the DS261 would be marked complete. I kept checking (March 29-31st). Then April 1 I got an email saying that it was done and the IV ready to be paid. According to the website NO, was not unlocked. So then today (April 2) I get the same email telling me the IV is unlocked and the DS261 complete.

The site is down so I can't check.

In the meantime the AOS 856 (or whatever that number is) has been resent. I am worried because he did not keep a copy of the first one which was correct but missing page 9.

I do have a question: Does anyone know if when you are sent a checklist they actually checked everything? Or did they see I have not page 9 so just automatically rejected it without looking everything over???

Any advice would be great.

WOW! Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well from now on for you guys....!

My DS-261 says incomplete as well, but it's because I clicked on it by mistake. Should I just leave it alone? Or should I resend it? I read somewhere that it resets the clock....but I'm also worried that just clicking on it (without sending it again) stopped the clock...?

This is frustrating for me too. It's been nearly 30 days for me too. Called NVC an they said I haven't filled out choice of agent form. Again I filled it out, they said 42 days for review, that's very irritating to hear. People are getting CC quickly now and I saw someone get checklist for not paying IV fee. I hope I won't be one of those cases. Best way to get through NVC is, have a auto-redial app and let it re-dial until you get through. And 7AM is the best time to reach with hardly any re-dials.

That is my concern also, getting a checklist because case is reviewed before IV can be paid. Does it really help to call everyday to try and get the agent form reviewed?

Lots of ppl are getting CC in less than 40 days, why dont they update the whole system to get IV available sooner then?

Any advice would be great.
