Hi Every body.

I was interviewed yesterday amd it was a pleasent experience. Visa officer was a Lady. She asked me only two or 3 questions about my work and how we met. and the she said you are approved and your visa will be mailed through american express in two weeks.

But today when I am checking my visa status it is showing that your case is in AP. Can anyone please guide me if it is normal or I will have to wait for months like others on AP?

Thank you

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

All visas will go through some form of AP before the visa is issued and you have it in hand. We all assume AP to be bad, but really it just means administrative processing. Typically that happens after the visa approval while they literally do administrative processing duties on your passport - most likely attaching the visa and shipping it off to you. Can last a few days from what I've seen.

If there were any red flags, you received the wrong color paper at the interview or you were given indication that things were amiss then I might be worried about the "dreaded" version of AP. In this case I think it's pretty standard, but others can correct me if I'm wrong.

It's good she said approved and you didn't get a paper saying AP. Yours should be ready in a few days or so.

Say approved and dont get paper saying ap mean nothing.

Ap can be days, weeks, months or year.

the co said on my interview congratulations your visa is approved and took my passport.

No paper given. That was march 2014.

I have a year on ap, and i had a second interview on april 1 and still in ap.

So that thay say approved and dont give ap paper dont mean nothing, if they put in ap only they know if it will be short or long

Oh no :/ that's too long. I was thinking that AP they do after approval and AP because of getting a paper are two different things. It's both the same though? This part is what kinda is confusing to me.

I wish they would give us more information about what's happening and how long it should take. My fiancé has only been in AP for less than two weeks but I'm already thinking what if it takes a long time? What if he's there for months or years? It's stressing me out.

I hope you will finally get good news soon!

Ap is a black hole, only they kbow when will finish.

In my case they have a mistake on their records with someone else, they say that i have been arrested two times but isnt truth, i havent been arrested never.

In your case, be preper and dont drive crazy if you have to go to a long ap, but usually muslin country get long ap.

you know the crazy terrorist.

Everyone goes thru AP and all cases may seem alike but different

The black-hole of AP is mainly in MENA & high fraud countries, the

AP can be last minute review B4 visa issuance, taking 2 days +

if the person went out & commit a crime its caught, or if something

fell thru the crack its found....usually when not given the AP paper

you may be getting thru in a few days to weeks, however if something

comes up one may end up in the black-hole as some who got the paper

at the interview. Stay positive & your day is coming

Hi

My interview was on March 30 in US embassy new Delhi. At the end of my interview CO asked for my chat log and said 'I will have a look at it and then I wi ll decide for the visa'. And told me I will get an email or sms if my visa will be approved. Then he handed a normal white paper to to me. On it there was mentioned that my case will undergo mandatory administrative processing. Then for 3 days visa status was READY and now it is ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. Can anyone tell me how long that can take to be issued? I am really worried now. He has kept my chat log too.

No one knows when AP with 221G issued will end

could be awhile, or it could be after chat-log is totally
