Need actual evidence of NOAA times - Please help

Hi VJers,

I have a congressman in the US assisting me with investigating the discrepancies between the Texas and California Service Centers, and he is requesting evidentiary proof that there is a substantial discrepancy in processing times. All he needs are 3 to 5 NOAA-1 and 2 dates, including your Receipt numbers from those who have their NOAA 1 and 2 from both the Texas and California Centers. For example: If you have recently received your NOAA-2 from the California Center, he will need your Receipt number, date of NOAA-1 and date of NOAA-2. The same goes for 3-5 people who were processed through the Texas Service Center.

This will allow him to dig deeper into the issue, since tax payers and voters from his state seem to be pushed aside during this process and he is not happy.

Please private message me with your NOAA 1 & 2 dates, as well as your receipt numbers. No personal information can be obtained from your receipt number, so there should be no privacy concerns.

I will post again on here when I have enough evidence to pass along to him.

Thank You!

Well I created a thread in the K1 progress subforum to ask that the CSC filers send us this same information so that many of us TSC filers could take it back to our federal representatives for help. Just as you are trying to do. However not one single CSC filer has responded to us to-date. I suspect you'll have a difficult road ahead of you.

That said, if you get the number of replies from CSC filers that you need, let me know and I'll be glad to send you my data. But getting such data from TSC filers won't be your problem. Getting it from CSC filers will.

Good luck with it. Let us know how it's going.

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS
9/11/14 - Petition received @ USCIS lockbox

9/18/14 - NOA1 hard copy received

4/20/15 - NOA2 text and email (221 days)

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

5/15/15 - Electronic version arrived at the embassy (2 days)

5/20/15 - Paper copy arrived at the embassy (7 days)

A lot of us are in the same position. Congressmen and others willing to help but without cooperation from CSC filers, we can't do anything. If you get anything, let us know (be careful about mentioning this issue on other threads though. It's a no-no here).

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

CSC filers won't be able to see both sides of the coin. Good luck though. Others here have tried unsuccessfully to get anyone to co-operate.

It's a case of lucky me, it's not my fault I got lucky, so why should I help you?

Everyone who commented is TSC, we can't help you. We're telling you that many of us have gotten to the same point with our Congressmen and Senators and yet, without CSC filers helping, we're stuck, too. And for whatever reason (I think the above commentor is correct---a case of "lucky me, sucks to be you") the CSC filers just won't help.

Yes, TSC filers need CSC filers to assist. I think there is more to it than just spite though. These people are flying through the system and probably don't want to potentially interfere with their progress. I can totally understand that - we are all afraid of getting lost in a black hole somewhere.

Perhaps the best would be to contact CSC filers who have received their Visas already. If that's possible.

Once we have received our visa I will be more than happy to give you my receipt number. As of right now, since we are so close to the finish line, I don't want anything to jeopardize that. Our interview is in 2 weeks.

Thanks for your assistance. I had a hunch that was why no-one wants to offer up information. Good luck and looking forward to your help with this.
