Hi all,

Finished all my forms and ready to send them all tomorrow. While i was doing a double check i got confussed with the form I-864 Part 5

So My Husband is my Sponsor (US Citizen)

Part3 Q1 we said yes

All 6 Family parts are empty because we are only me and my US Husband.

Part5 what do i need to say from 1 to 8?

Now its like this:

1 - 1

2 - 1

3 - 1

4 - 0

5 - 0

6 - 0

7 - 0

8 - 2

Household is 2 but when i count according to this the answer is 3. I really need help.

I-485 Timeline

25 Mar 15 ==> Sent I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 with USPS

27 Mar 15 ==> Package arrived Chicago P.O. Box

04 Apr 15 ==> Checks cashed. (420 + 1070)

06 Apr 15 ==> Text/Email NOS1 received

11 Apr 15 ==> Got hardcopies for all 4 forms

17 Apr 15 ==> Got biometrics appointment letter (30 April 2015)

23 Apr 15 ==> Early walk-in successful (201 Varick St. New York City)

27 Apr 15 ==> Mail Notice Form I-693 was not submitted. (Will submit on Interview)

16 Jun 16 ==> Submitted online Case Inquiry for Form I-765

19 Jun 15 ==> Approval Notice via Mail for form I-765 and I-131

19 Jun 15 ==> Case Status Changed with Tracking Number. USPS picked EAD Card

23 Jun 15 ==> Got EAD Card

24 Jun 15 ==> Applied for SSN

01 July 15 ==> Got SSN

20 Oct 15 ==> Interview scheduled for November 23, 2015

23 Nov 15 ==> Interview date. Approved on spot

24 Nov 15 ==> Online Case Status changed to "New cards is being produced"

03 Dec 15 ==> Received Green Card

You do not count anyone twice. You are already listed in number 1, so you are NOT listed in number 3. Number 3 should be 0.

You already indicated that your husband is your sponsor. So the I-864 is filled out by him, not you. Therefore, your husband is listed in part 2, and you are in part 1. Part 3 asks for the spouse of your husband. That would be you, BUT since you were already listed in part 1, you are not counted again in part 3. Thus, part 3 is ZERO.

That is correct. You are listed in Part 2 as the principal immigrant, the one being sponsored in the affidavit.

Your Household Size - DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE

This would be you --> Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit:

There are no others being sponsored listed in Part 3, so Part 3 #7 should be marked with a 1. That is the number entered here for Part 5 #1. This is where you are counted, and the only place you are counted.

Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit:

This is where the US citizen sponsor filling out the form marks a 1 for 'Yourself' in Part 5 #2

If there are no more people in your household count, such as dependents, then you will leave all those blank or put zeros. Your household size is only 2, which is what you put in Part 5 # 8.
