Passport Copy of Petitioner Notarized?

Hi guys,


My fiancé is sending in our K1 Package on Monday to USCIS which will then go to the lengthy delayed TSC... We are just wondering if he needs to get his passport copies notarised? Each page?

He can't find his birth certificate to show he is american born so he will have to send photocopies of each page of his US passport, does anyone know if he needs those copies notarised?

Check out the Form I-129F instructions about notarization requirements: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

The Petitioner Signature statements of Part 4, Penalties/Certification, of the Form I-129F, likely carry more weight than a simple signature notarization. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129f.pdf .

I didn't have my birth certificate because I am living overseas with my fiancé, so I actually had to have my entire passport photocopied (every single page) and notarized. This was accepted without any request for further information

No, it does not have to be notarized. There is nowhere in the instructions that states you need to get it notarized, just that you need copies of ALL pages.
