Pretty good. I noticed there were a few countries filtered out. I guess to make it represent reality better. The difference between the two centers is ridiculous.

Nice visualisation.

Makes the glaring difference very obvious.... :protest:

Also shows how CSC is consistently getting faster whereas the Median for TSC keeps increasing...

Good idea but probably inaccurate.

Many people using CSC have their petitions 'accidentally' sent to NRC instead of NVC causing a 3 to 6 month additional wait.

This is not reflected in the stats.

There's no way to enter it in the timeline.

So don't think you've lucked out at CSC until your petition physically arrives at NVC.

At least with TSC you usually know where it is even if they do move like sloths.

It is accurate because all its trying to do is calculate time for noa2. What happens after that was never intended to be counted here.

And yes, I'm aware of that problem, but it seems to be isolated to people who were approved within a pretty narrow time frame, no? The percentage of people who are dealing with that problem is a small percentage of CSC filers, whereas everyone at TSC is suffering the long processing time wait except for the minority who are expedited.

I'm not trying to discount the frustration of not knowing why your file hasn't made it to nvc in a timely manner, but you shouldn't discount having to wait 7 months while the other half are waiting 1.

I never discounted tsc as being slower but how much slower is questionable. And the majority of those going through csc aren't through in one month. That's an exaggeration. Many do get noa2 in about 1 - 2 months. And some at tsc don't take 7 months similarly.

The reason it is inaccurate is that there is no way to input an arrival at nvc which is as long as it takes some unknown percentage of csc filers. The system won't allow it. This ultimately results in frustration and people don't complete their timelines. It's not possible to accurately calculate statistics with incomplete or biased data. It's frustrating enough that you're in this group but then to not be able to reflect that here... Well...

Point is this. Just because yours goes to csc and not tsc, don't assume it will be a quick process.

As for what percentage of people get dumped to the nrc...I would like to see some realistic stats. I think it is a larger group than you'd guess.

I wish mine HAD gone to tsc instead. At least I would have known i what I was up against from the beginning instead of being misled by these stats.

The 'official' average for processing at csc is 5 months and 5-7 months for tsc.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Not very useful information if the range is extremely wide.

I.e. 1 month to 2 years but average at 7 months.

The real problem is with ALL uscis service centers, not just Tsc. But yes, they do things a might slower yonder down south. Maybe they're a bit too careful with dotting I's and crossing T's but maybe that helps to avoid the egregious errors at csc. Tortoise vs hare. And we're the ants they accidentally trample in the race. ;-\

It may seem that way but that's NOT reality.

CSC approved a huge group of applications last fall and dumped them at NRC instead of NVC in their haste. It took about 4 months to recover those. Most were issued second NOA2s but there is no way to enter that data here.

The true median is much higher for CSC if you account for that. And it also leads to a much broader range which also renders the median as a much less useful statistic.

Slow and careful or speedy but haphazard. Which do you want?

I doubt The NRC misrouting affected more than 10-20% of CSC filers if that. The long processing times however, affect virtually everyone at TSC.

By the way, there is at least oneJune TSC filer whose case got sent to NRC - they are still trying to get it back. So it is not a CSC exclusive issue.

On top, just because CSC sends some cases to the wrong dept doesn't mean that ridiculously long waiting times at TSC are all of a sudden okay and vice versa. These are separate issues!

It was NOT 10 - 20% of cases at the end of 2014. How did you arrive at that?

Once again, official stats show 5-7 months for tsc and 5 months for csc.

That is not "ridiculously" longer but tsc is indeed slower.

You stated that csc is getting faster but the full data dies not indicate thar when you factor in the mistakes made.

What do you want?

Texas to speed up and make more mistakes than csc? That's probably what will happen.

One case screwed up in what timeframe? A year?10 years?

It would be nice if tsc could speed up and not screw up but that's not gonna happen.
