We received the notice of action on November 10th. Since then I check every few weeks and it still says the same thing. Is there reason to be concerned? why is this happening? This is for the mother of my spouse who is Ukrainian and lived in Lugansk area. I've looked for information saying these would be delayed, but so far have seen nothing on this. Should we call or just wait.

Hi,

My case has been pending for 5 months now, and i haven't heard anything from USCIS since my first NOA1. Just sit and relax. Let the wait game begins. My case has been saying the same thing for 5 months. It's not unsual.

remiel....I would suggest, due to the conflict in the area that your mother-in-law is living, that you research how to expedite and it would relate to your case. This might jump start the process. Honest, not sure if this could help you, but research all avenues to accelerate the process. Search for expediting the process here on VJ.

Hi friends,

Can you please tell me what income numbers you use in your Affidavit of Support: Part 6, 6c & 10 (page 5) & Part 6, 13a1, 13b1, 13c1 (page 6). Do you use the numbers from you Tax Returns (as adjusted gross income) or from your W2 - wages, salaries, etc?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the answers, I will check into expediting. I keep hoping this whole thing will blow over, but alas, two stupid people do not make one smart one.

As for the income, I would put the adjusted gross income from the tax return, but if you have had a change in income since then I would use the pay stubs. If you income is short of what is needed you can always get someone else's income to help out.

not sure if expediting will help, also not sure how the hell I'm going to get her out of Lugansk anyway. To be honest it will be easier to go through Russia and Fly to Kiev then to try and cross some really bad fighting to get to Kiev from where she is.
