The ARN is specific for the Alien Fiance, whereas the receipt number is for your petition/case.

thanks for replies , but when should i have ARN ? AND IF I HAVE IT , WHERE CAN I FIND IT ? ON THE RECEIPT LETTER?

It will be on your NOA2. I never received a notice from USCIS regarding an ARN change. But once you receive your hard copy of NOA2, it will be on there.
