Fired? Co-Sponsor?

Hey guys!! If my fiancé were to quit his job or get fired and not have a job for 2-3 months, would it be possible to have a co-sponsor still? Or does he NEED to have a job at the time of the interview? We would have needed a co-sponsor anyway.

Check with the embassy your fiancee will have her interview at. Most embassy's allow a joint sponsor for K1. Job or no job you will need a joint sponsor, just make sure he/she meet the poverty guidelines for their family household as well as you and your fiancee included.... I'm using a joint sponsor and the embassy my fiancee will be interviewed at in a few weeks allows for one.

He can be unemployed if the co-sponsors income is sufficient (if the embassy allows co-sponsors).

Yay!! Thanks guys )) His job is kind of unstable at the moment, they're letting a lot of people go and in the case that he does get laid off he was thinking of staying with me in germany until I get through with my visa appointment (4-6 months for sure). i will definitely call my embassy and ask them if its possible to have a joint sponsor, thanks for the info guys!!
