hello we just got a letter from USCIS saying that they could not read my husbands fingerprints so they will retake them 01/30/15 free of charge his left pinkie finger tip is missing so the time prior to this when they took them for the conditional green card they made a note of that this time my husband said they did not .Hes background is clean so no issues there..He did get a letter staing as his GC expires FeB 15th 2015 that hes still legal for a year after while they process the case so its just annoying as now its delayed more.. :clock:

Has anyone else had a similar experience .Then I was thinking sine maybe they messed up they might speed up the process ..

His fingerprints were fine the time prior ah well now we wait and pray

Thanks All Good Luck to us all on our Immigration Journeys :goofy:

My wife went through the same thing with her fingerprints.

She visited the US on numerous times and had her fingerprints taken every time as well as when she received her initial green card. But when she had her biometrics for the Removal of Conditions on her CR-1 visa, the fingerprints were a problem. The lady at the biometrics place said her prints didn't work and they would be rejected by the FBI. So she was really nice about it and took her prints with the old fashion ink method. She told us that we would receive the NOA/RFE about the fingerprints being rejected, to call her back and she would send in the ink prints to the appropriate people.

Well it happened just like she said it would: The FBI rejected my wife's prints and asked her to come back for another biometric appointment. We then called the lady and she sent the ink prints in. We didn't hear anything for months and then, viola! my wife received her 10 year GC in the mail. We also were very worried as her 1 year GC extension was running out of time but everything happed in time.

Moral of the story, you will receive another RFE or NOA if they don't like the prints they took. You can also log on your account and "Inquiry" about your husbands case status. Maybe they will provide an update.
