Don't see one for January yet.

Filed on Jan 7th, through FedEx 2 days, at 7:30pm.

Tracking number informed me it was delivered at Chicago 3rd floor location at 12:35pm on Friday (January 9th).

Filing from Georgia, so our case should be at the Atlanta office, which I heard is pretty backed up. :(

Waiting patiently for e-mail/text.

Will update once I get it.

Thank you visajourney for all the help!!!

Received 11 text messages and an email from USCIS about the receipt form I-797, at 5:54pm (Jan 13th).

The number does not compute in their site. The e-mail says it would recommend me to only check when I get my hard copy on the mail, so I guess is too soon to report anything...

Hey! and welcome to VJ. :)

A little bit about my case.

Got here on B2 visa, stay to help my sister with her kid (she was feeling alone, didn't know anybody here and spoke little English).

A year or so after she got her citizenship and was working on applying for me, I met my wife and we married about 6 month after.

We married on April of last year and applied Jan 7th.

We have a co sponsor, as my wife's job hours is irregular, and she don't have a whole year working yet, or ever file any taxes.

NellyandNicky: Thanks for your wecome! I am glad that your case seems to be making progress through the system :)

tam3010: I submitted last year's tax return. I think it is ok because this year's tax return is not due till April.

@NellyandNicky: Glad that you are progressing so quickly :) Did they ask you anything when you do the walk in biometrics? Do you need an excuse to do it early? Thanks!

Guys,

I'm wondering -where were your NOAs and Biometrics letters mailed from?

That is - what was the zip code on the red USPS stamp on the envelopes?

I mailed AOS to Chicago lockbox - the NOAs indicate that they will be processed in Missouri (National Benefits Center)

and the case numbers correspondingly start from MSC.

BUT the NOAs were mailed from the zip code of the USCIS office in Phoenix AZ.

It may be the case that USCIS subdivides work between offices in reality - and different offices have different speed of processing.
