Hello Folks,

Hope everybody's case is going well! My process with my status has been going great so far but my civil surgeon. My process of getting my I-693 form not only took more than a month but it also costed me a lot of money!

First, they charged my credit card for $220.

Second they took my insurance card and charged my insurance over $330. He told me that whenever he would get the money back from the insurance he would send me a check of $220.

If this were you .. what would you do? I made a couple of attempts to get my money back, but no success.

Should I dispute the charge on my credit card?

Should I contact my insurance provider?

Should I keep calling him, or should I somehow contact USCIS?

Thank you lots!

Is it here in the states???? The doctors from the USCIS list can't be covered by insurance... You pay it all

Maybe he used different reasons to be paid by your insurance.

Me i have my healthcare insurance take from france i pay every month, i wanted try to use , but finally i didn't because it is medical examination for immigration and i don't think they will give me money back.

i have paid 180 dollars for all examination and vaccination.

But it is true they ask me if i have healthcare insurance, so it"s means it 's possible....

good evening

She is in your healthcare inssurance in the paper? or is it your individual insurance?

The Civil Surgeon and office was in network. But wouldn't accept Ins due to immigration. Had to pay up front.

Why would you pay out of pocket if the Dr accepted your Ins? Sounds like a rat... I would call your Ins provider and find out what the Dr office code the services and find out if and date the Dr had been paid.

Then bug the heck out of the civil surgeons office. Good luck~

I agree that you should start by calling your ins provider and checking what he charged the insurance for and compare it with your invoice from the doc, if you got one. If not, you should ask for a bill from the doc outlining exactly what you were paying for so you can compare with the incurance claim.

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.
