medical result not ready for interview

My fiance made the long trip today to pick up his medical packet, only to find out it is not ready and won't be ready by the time his interview comes. All we wanted was an answer. Even though we wouldn't be together for Christmas, it would've been a great Christmas just to know what 2015 will hold for us. Now due to the holidays, who knows how long it will take to reach the embassy and then how long it will sit before someone looks at it and makes a decision.

May I suggest you call the medical facility first before making the trip. They didn't even bother to call him and cancel his 1:30pm appointment today.

PS I wonder if the inefficient, unprofessionalism will ever cease to amaze me.

Normally when a person go to the hospital to pick up medical report And don't get it, it mean the report is not conclusive enough so they can't give it out went until it's clear up properly. Just be patient becuz the ppl at the medical department is doing their job too, they can't allow a person who hasn't passed their medical to be given a report or else they will get in to trouble

He will be given a 221g for his medical. He will still have to pick it up and take it to Kingston.

Ok He said they said they will send it to the embassy but I'll have him call and check next week. If when he takes it to the embassy will they tell him then if he's approved or will that be more waiting?

listen to me lionessDeon, once them told him they will send it to the embassy, something was wrong with his medical, i know many ppl that went to collect their medical and they were told the same thing, reason for some of them is they used to smoke weed so they didnt pass the blood text part of the medical or etc, but dont let them fool you, once you go to collect your medical report and dont get it back on time something wrong with the medical report and for your excuse the time period isnt a problem becuz you can do your medical within a week and get back your result for the interview

^^ This. Andrews Hospital told him exactly why it is not ready.. Why would they lie?? I fail to understand why...if someone does test positive for any drug...would that then make the medical results not ready? So they tested positive...put that in the results and off it goes to the embassy to deal with. Hold it up for what? To do what?

I'm concerned that he wasn't able to pick it up and now what happens from here....so thank you to all that answered that for me. My greater issue is that my fiance does not live near Kingston and made a long trip for nothing. They have his phone number why didn't they call him to cancel his appointment? They knew at the close of business the day before that it would not be ready until next week. That's what has me the most upset...They have no consideration for people.

And thank you all for the kind positive words...it's been a terrible week and you have helped to make it better!

Can he reschedule the interview?

I thought about that...but as pinkrlion said, they'll just give him a 221g and he will have to bring in the medical packet when it is ready. Either way we won't know before Christmas

We knew this part would be a bit of an obstacle....everything had just been going so good I guess I may have gotten a little over optimistic. I feel so bad that my fiance has been back and forth to Kingston so many times in this past week, the wasted trip had my head boiling! We have a plan B & C. One way or another we will work it out. Thank you!!
