Just tired of being patient! I'm missing my husband so much, anyone know the wait time it will take for a case to complete? I was told 60 days, is there a possibility it can be shorter?

Unfortunately we were the unlucky ones. It used to be a 30 day wait for everything but after the end of the summer we got a huge surprise. Actually they saw this coming miles away when we started and when all those approved petitions got to the NVC it overloaded the system. For a majority of the people it has not took a full 60 days and it didn't for me even when I got a checklist. Usually NVC has been able to get back to people before 60 days maybe like 45-50 days which is not a big difference. Hang in there and hope you don't get a checklist, and about or after 40 days keep an eye on the fee payment section on the CEAC website. If your AOS goes from paid to N/A if you already don't know that means your case is complete. One night I just so happen to check mines and there it was and I gave them a call the next morning, the call representative said yes that my case was complete and that it was complete almost a week ago. Look for three N/As. Even when your case is complete you will still find that the NVC is a little behind with case complete emails, and finally getting a interview date in Lagos.

Yes, this is tough. I just realized entered the 60 day wait about 2 weeks ago. After waiting 51 days I discovered I didn't submit some info so that generated a checklist. I was really hoping for a January interview but now I have no idea. Good luck

It is tough.....first of all waiting and second knowing that you made a mistake. Me too, waiting on AOS checklist......seems this wait is long....painful, frustrating but same time blelieving God for a review to be done soon. Prayers for everyone who are sailing in the same boat.

This is an absolute crime that nobody really cares about and little that any of us can do about. Got a check list for my step daughter last week for a nit-picking omission of a box not being checked even though the answer was obvious and I did not total a column. It's been a few months since the NVC was sent the case and they are still saying they can not read the mail for 60 days! This is unlike anything I have ever experienced as one usually does not go back to the back of the line when they have already waited for months!

Hope things get better, but they appear to be getting worse despite them saying they are staffing up! Hope things work out for you soon. There appears that there is a lot of folks in this bucket!

I know the NVC said they are trying to be faster. They have been hit hard and trying to clean up the backlog that USCIS is cleaning up from. Did you send in the IV and AOS together on 12/10?

If so you are looking March 10th. But as everyone knows things can change and hopefully if no issues no checklist maybe they will have you done faster. Here's praying for you and you ca then come join us on the Case complete to Interview thread Maybe a April Interview.

Does anyone know, the reason NVC is so backlogged, as when my wife's K-1 was processed in early 2013, her paper work was there less than 24 hours, and forwarded to the Manila embassy.

What has happened? Would really like to have some opinions, as I have a friend going through K-1, fiance is in Cebu, Philippines.

If scan date is 12/10 the 60 days would place it in Early February not March. Edited by Oyehope
