Please help! I can't get any information on the visa

So I've been posting about this, but no one in the regional forum has any info, and I'm starting to get fairly concerned. Anyone with ideas of who to talk to would be appreciated, because it's starting to seem like a catch-22.

My husband had his interview for the cr-1 visa on Thursday, November 13th. They told him that the visa was approved, and that he needed to sign in to www.ustraveldocs.com, and create a profile in order to register to which location he wanted the courier (Grupo Zoom) to deliver his passport with the visa. He told me about it, and I THINK I have been able to successfully create the profile, although it seemed ambiguous if I was choosing the location for delivery or pickup of documents. He also told me that they said it would be 10 working days.

So, we are definitely past ten working days now, probably at 13, depending how much the Embassy takes of for Thanksgiving. I e-mailed the embassy on Monday, as they don't seem to accept phone calls any longer. The first answer was that we needed to create a profile (at least this time the e-mail actually had the links, not like last time when I e-mailed them about how to set up a profile). I answered that I did that a couple of weeks ago, and when could we expect the visa? They shortly replied that I should contact the courier at their 800 customer assistance hotline. I have tried from the US, but it's always busy. My husband was going to try from Vzla also.

The thing that concerns me, however, is that when I log into the profile I created on ustraveldocs.com, it says the embassy is still in possession of his passport. So does the passport tracking option on the same page. If that's true, why don't they say so, and why do they direct me to the courier? My husband said he asked the courier for help back when he was trying to figure out how to make a profile, and they told him that they don't know anything about it, and it's just a new thing the embassy is starting.

Meanwhile I have called the number on the help page of ustraveldocs, and it only has pre-recorded information. I tried to chat with support, but no one has answered and it's been over an hour.

Is there some state department number in the US where they could tell me what's happening? I know this has been a long process and it's not worth getting impatient now, but I am concerned in case we haven't done something, and his passport could end up lost because of it?

Thanks for any info or ideas.

What is the visa's status on CEAC?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

What is the visa's status on CEAC?

Thanks for the quick reply-- I remember you from the NVC forum in the summer.

CEAC says "issued" and that it will be delivered or available for pick up soon. It has been saying that for a couple of weeks now.

Did you create a profile >> http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ve_es/index.html?firstTime=No

Yes, I did create a profile, with all my husband's information, and his e-mail and phone numbers. In the only part I could find having to do with document delivery I selected the ZOOM office in the state where he lives. Currently, when I sign in, it says the embassy still has his passport. But when I e-mailed the embassy this week, they directed me to contact ZOOM (the courier).

What you choose pick up at a particular Zoom location ? ... if you remember that ask your husband to contact the nearest zoom location.. I believe you did not pick up on time so they returned it to the consulate.. now you have an option to pick it up from the consulate.

Yes, I selected the only office in his state.

I told my husband to go by the ZOOM office today to see if they could tell him anything.

Maybe it was delivered already, but they never sent him any notification of having sent it, and they have both his e-mail and his phone numbers in the profile. And the profile always says "LA embajada sigue en posesión de su pasaporte". (the embassy is still in possession of your passport).

I hope he doesn't have to go to Caracas to pick it up... that's a long trip for him.

I just connected with my husband on Facebook chat... he told me that he went to the ZOOM office, and they told him that they would send him a text message when it arrives there. But they have no idea when that would be. So I guess I just have to wait for the embassy to answer me, or to send it. I didn't expect this part to take so long.

Hi dawning,

Did your husband eventually got his passport back? If so, how long did it take?

My wife is in exactly the same situation. We had our interview for J-1 renewal on Dec 29 and I got my passport back on Jan 5, but we are still waiting for hers. CEAC says the visa was ISSUED, but other than that we have no other information about what's going on.
