are you the only sponsor?

Just remain calm. Go here

http://www.immigration.com/news/poverty-guidelines/2014-hhs-poverty-guidelines-affidavit-support

Download that Pdf document and compare your figures very well. Then you go for co-sponsor quickly.

NVC does not approve your AOS.. they just look for completeness... some times they do send letter informing you that your income is insufficient.. I think few from this forum received it...

she is in Ghana and so does not have green card/passport copy

Are you trying to use applicant income/assets ? ...

No the green-card or passport or birth certificate of the co-sponsor. They have to be a resident and leaving in US to co-sponsor.

The need everything you submitted.

Many embassies want previous year and current salary above guidelines. Too many people here on VJ advise incorrectly they only want to see current at the poverty guidelines and that isn't always the case. Get your co-sponsor to get all the necessary documents and you must mail not scan because they need that original signature.

I-864

3 years tax forms or transcripts

Letter of employment

paystubs most current if they have year to date

and proof of US citizenship or LPR status.

Faster you get that to her the faster she can have her Visa.

Doesn't matter. The requirement is only they reside in US and be a citizen or LPR. They don;t have to be related to you. You don;t even have to know them.
