I need a joint sponsor and my Father in law make enough from his disabilities. Is his wife need to file i-864A? She doesn,t work. What other documents i need to show from my joint sponsor - bank statement, checks?

If he makes enough for himself, his spouse, any dependents claimed on his taxes plus the intending immigrant, then he will need to provide proof of his income. If the income is non-taxable, then provide proof of benefits plus 12 months of bank statements to show the amount he receives each month. If he has check stubs from receiving the income, then he should provide a few months of those too. He will of course need to supply his most recent tax transcript and proof of being an LPR or USC as well.

If the spouse has zero income, then she should not need to fill out an I-864A. Make sure to document his individual income from their joint tax return.

Thank you. I have one last question. My parents in law have other income too. Do they need to show it or prove it its only 3000 per year from rent. Can i show only proof for his disabilities which is enough.

If he meets the requirement on the disability alone, then no need for the rental income. However, you can add them together and list the total amount as the current annual income and provide proof of both incomes, if you wish.
