So I-129F is approved after 2 month. I'm worried we aren't prepared.

Ok so our I-797 is valid from 10/10/2014 to 02/09/2015

Because we we're not expecting to be accepted so quickly (receipt date august 25th) we already have plans for me to be in the states for Christmas.

Now it looks like it's going to be a one way trip.

I have got my vaccination records from my GP, I have the police form ready to send out on Friday and I'm just waiting on a letter (packet?) arriving.

Whats next?

Am I missing something?

I'm honestly a little worried. I'm also scared and excited!

I wish I had of found this site sooner so I could of made a timeline!

Make a timeline anyway. Guess when you mailed the petition if you don't know. It was only 2 months ago.

You may not have the visa before Christmas. They aren't that fast. Read this thread for London process. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

There are some corrections after Post 8 so don't miss those.

Your petition has been approved at the US-end but you still have the London consulate stage to go through. You should get a letter in the post when London has your file. It will ask you to complete the DS-160 and to gather your documents for the interview.

As per Nich-Nick's guide, London needs three things before it will schedule an interview for you: medical results, DS-160 application and notification of applicant readiness. So you can delay one of these to delay the interview scheduling. It normally takes up to 6 weeks for the interview to be scheduled, even if London has all three items from you - but it can also happen a lot sooner. I suggest delaying the medical until November/December. Then complete the online notification of applicant readiness form when you get back from the US.

Note that the consultate can re-validate an "expired" petition at the interview: just remember to bring updated letters of intent (to marry within 90 days) with you, just in case they ask for them. You can also pick up the other documents you need for the interview from you fiance(e) when you head over to the US, e.g, financial support documents and I-134).

As Nich-Nick suggested, make a timeline anyway. It will help others and you'll also have a record for yourself to look back on. The site's timeline functionality also covers the stages all the way up to becoming a US citizen.
