With our lawyer's assistants, USCIS received our RFE response on the 22nd of September. On the RFE they just requested us to refill and resent G 325 form the form on American Standard paper. On the 23rd of October they sent us an email informing us that they rejected our case. When we called they said, they sent a response in the mail we must wait for it. We suspect our lawyer made a mistake on the RFE response and there is a discrepancy between first G325 form and the second G325 form in response to RFE. Has anybody on this forum has an experience similar to ours? They say our case is closed. In your

opinion what would be our best course of action at this point? We still don't know official decision why they deny our case. So any help from the forum greatly appreciated. Thank you, Eddie and Ozzy.

The best thing you can do right now is wait for the response as to why the case is rejected. Once you receive that, please come back and post the reason and forum members can then try and help.

why are you even using a lawyer? Unless you have a complicated case, they are nothing but a waste of money. Lawyers slow things down, make mistakes and take thousands of dollars out of your pocket. If your case is straightforward, fire the lawyer and do it yourself. With this site and the help of people there there is no reason you can;t do it on your own. This is a do it yourself site and most of us have done it by ourselves

Did you actually see the RFE or are you just taking your attorney' word for it? I sent lots of paperwork on non-US standard size paper with no issue.

Anyway, I would expect the attorney to re-file the case at no cost to you since they made the mistake. Likely this won't happen and if it doesn't file a complaint with the state bar association. The attorney made the mistake and did not do what you paid them to do.

We did not see the RFE. It was failed to arrive my home address. My lawyer got it. So, we took his word. Yes you have a point. Thank you for your guidance.

Does it mean we have to wait another 7 months?

Any decent lawyer should be sending you a copy of all relevant paperwork received pertaining to your case. The case is yours. The service is that of the attorney, but you are paying for it. Call his office first thing tomorrow and request a copy for your records. Something doesn't sound right about this. Trust your instincts.

I'd start then by getting the original notice of RFE, to better undersand what was asked. Together with that, you should also get whatever is what the lawyer sent (any half way decent attorney will have copies of anything sent)

Before everyone keeps trying to give you advice on what you should do now.

WAIT for the hardcopy. Find out what the refusal was and THEN ask for help..

Until that, NO ONE can help you.

Until you know what happened NO ONE can give you any good advice.

You didn't interpret the OP's post correctly. The hard copy was only sent to the lawyer...the OP never received one. That's why everyone is suggesting the OP insist on getting the details regarding the RFE and subsequent response from the lawyer.

Op then said they called and were told to wait for the letter to know why they were rejected. Not talking about the RFE that the lawyer got.
