re: is this about right?

Maybe. :)

Before I got my RFE two weeks ago, my time line was predicting sometime in late November to mid-December. I responded immediately, but it was a full week from the RFE date before they acknowledged receiving my response (mostly because I had to wait for the RFE to arrive in the postal mail before being able to respond -- it was odd to know for 4 days or so that they wanted more info, but know what info).

The VJ timeline algorithm did add 30 days (into January), but I when I saw that the RFE was assigned to an individual (by officer number only, no name), I figured this meant that a) it was on a case officer's desk and b) they were okay with all the other stuff (or they would have included it as part of the RFE). I was right. We got our NOA 2 less than a week (6 days) after their receipt of my response.

I say maybe because, your response may require more processing than mine. I think this is why VJ conservatively adds 30 days. I bet you will hear something soon. Good luck.

the omission was page 5, part 3, question 2 and 3 of the i-129f which was basically has she ever been convicted of, then it gaves three paragraphs of examples then it says

Yes__________________ or No___________________

it doesnt say how to answer so she put an X on no and signed the bottom

and as for taking extra time u think porbably not as much as a month that the VJ states as its just the one question and this is a tiring guessing game of estimates?

I don't know about RFEs, but I'd say don't trust the VJ prediction. Unfortunately many people don't fill out their timelines, so it can be frustrating and not accurate. However, it seems that after you get an RFE you do get a pretty quick approval.

And wow, my fiance forgot to fill out the exact same thing, they called him to ask, and we were approved the same day. Guess we're lucky! And so are you for not having to wait almost 6 months :content:

It added a month to mine also. It says because of Texas, even though I was transferred to California. However here I am, 21 days after sending in the RFE and still waiting to hear something.
