NVC processing time for missing document

Hi guys. Just joined the Forum to share this experience with you all since nobody who isn't going through the process seems to understand how dreadful this is.

I'm sure by now many of you received that horrid, 60 day processing time email. My question now is does anyone know how long it would take to review a civil document that was missing from the originals that I previously sent? After those 60 days had passed I called the NVC and they informed me that one of the documents I sent in was a wrong one. (Short birth certificate instead of the long one apparently). So obviously they've reviewed those already, does anyone know if they'll take another 60 days to process the long birth certificate if I send it in straight away?

Thank you so much in advanced for any answers. :-)

Yes, it will take another 60 days. Every piece of document submitted takes uup to (and sometimes more) to review. Once you receive a checklist send EXACTLY what they ask for as soon as possible. That is my understanding.

Hey R santa , i 'm in the same case as yours & waiting is killing me..

Nvc sent me an email informing me that there are a missing docs.

And i wonder how long it will take them to process my missed docs.

Did you wait another 60 days? I am asking beCoz in your timeline , case already completed in 22-10-2014

Thanks in advance

Hello Georgewashington. Yeah, I get it, the waiting is horrible. I also got the dreaded checklist afterwards but once I called NVC they informed me that I needed to present the two 'missing' docs are the Embassy at the time of my interview and a few days later I received the 'Case closed' email. Depending on what your docs are maybe it will be the same for you as well, I get the feeling as though they're passing cases just to relieve their workload at this point. Your best bet is going to be calling them.

I say this because if I hadn't called I would have sent my missing documents to them and that would have ended up delaying my process. >.<
