Hello Everyone,

Our I-129F was approved--finally after 183 days--17 October. Now we move into the back end of the visa process described by some as being quicker and easier. According to information on the K-1 flow chart, NVC should receive the I-129F file from USCIS within 2 weeks of the NOA2, but I've been hearing about delays at NVC that have resulted in 60 days just to view documents, yet some people still seem to have sailed through who applied for the K-1 recently.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge pertaining to how long it takes NVC to receive the file and move it forward to the Consulate? We have 56 days until our wedding day, so I'm aiming to do whatever I can, if anything, to make it.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

K-1 visas are not taking 60 days, its much faster, if you are lucky enough your process at NVC might take just few days before its sent to embassy, goodluck

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Hello, and thank you for the reply. I have spoken to several Immigration Service Officers and a few attorneys who all have mentioned delays at NVC, but they were not specific as to whether these delays pertained to all visas. In fact, an email was sent to various CR-1 applicants and attorneys informing them that NVC was experiencing delays of up to 60 days. Also, there's this pertaining to computer issues plaguing NVC: http://rt.com/usa/176892-us-visa-ccd-crashed/

I received a reply on another thread pertaining to expediting NVC processing, and it stated that it could take over a month for NVC to receive my file from CSC. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/517574-please-help-need-advice-on-expedite-nvc-i-129f/

I hope you're right, azzein, and wish to know, if you don't mind, on what is your timetable/information based?

We appreciate your time and input.

Regards

i am a CR1 petitioner and i am stuck in the 60 days period. once your K1 petition is received by NVC you will get case number and will be forwarded to your embassy, my information is based on K1 members here on this forum, i have saw a case which took 3 days to get number assigned and forwarded to embassy it was from Manila-Phills.

I did read about some K-1 cases from Philippines being processed quickly as a result of typhoons, as I recall. I hope you're right, azzein. We only have 53 days to spare. Do you think that's enough? Of course, you know how nerve-racking this experience can be, especially when one doesn't have much flexibility in work schedule like me.

Thanks

well, after NVC receives your case, 53 days should be enough to get an interview date, depends on how busy the embassy is in Ukraine

well, after NVC receives your case

That's what I'm worried about...how long it will take for them to receive our case. I heard CSC sends these over in batches and it could take awhile. Of course, I hope you're right and they get it soon. It says in the processing stats that it takes an average of 34 days to go from NVC to the actual interview in Ukraine. I just don't have much wiggle room.

Thanks
