Does filing a for a K3 visa hurt anything?

I have already filed for the CR1 visa and have received my NOA1. Does it hurt anything by filing the I-129f? I have seen in some threads where the NSC sometimes is behind the 5 month schedule. From what I've ready on USCIS's website, there is no fee when sending in the I-129f with a copy of your NOA1. Am I missing anything? If NSC takes longer than the 5 months, would this be a "backup"? If they merge or cancel the K3 visa because the NSC is within the time schedule, I haven't really lost anything either, right?

IF the I-129F gets tagged to be processed at the same service center where the I-130 resides, then yes, it hurts things.

The I-130 is yanked out of it's place in queue, joined up with the I-129F, then both are placed AT THE END OF THE QUEUE.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
