quick question about the IV package

Hi all!

a. Bar-coded cover sheet
b. 2 US Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary (name, dob, and case number on the back)
c. Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport
d. Original/Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary
e. Original/Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner
f. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary
g. Original/Certified divorce decree of the beneficiary's prior marriage(s), if applicable
h. Original military certificate of the beneficiary, if applicable
i. Court records, if applicable
j. 1 set Photocopy of all the above civil documents

on the J. part, does it mean I should also send in photocopies out of everything else AND send it in together with the originals? Have anyone else done the same or is it not needed?

yes you will make a photocopy of each and send it in the same package..

First off: If you send originals, they will be returned to you at the interview.
Since some NVC minions can't seem to flip a paper, some people who send originals where the official seal is on the back, get RFE'd (insanity) because the seal isn't visible at first glance.

So if you do send originals, make sure to also send copies. Suspenders and a belt. It saves them a trip to the photo copyer I guess.

If you send only copies, you will be asked to bring the originals to the Visa interview at the embassy. That works too.

The Stockholm embassy is great to deal with in my experience. Good luck!

Send a photocopy of each document except the police certificate. Make sure to photocopy front and back. This ensures you get your originals back without any hassle.

Only if he/she is filing an IR-5 for parents or F4 for siblings, otherwise no.

thank you so much as I was told by someone that I would have to submit it, but I couldn't find anywhere that says petitioners had to submit it..

The petitioner only had to submit a copy of his/her birth certificate or passport to prove citizenship when filing the I-130 petition at USCIS at the very beginning. But that's it. But it looks like you've already made it to NVC, so it doesn't matter
