Hi I'm just wondering could someone tell me when i130 visas become current again. I've heard people are just waiting for them now. So how does this process happen? Thanks for any advice.

What category are you under? If you are referring to F2A, visas were current for a few months last year because there weren't enough applicants compared to visas, therefore the PD's were current. That may not happen again, at least not anytime soon.

This does not constitute legal advice.

I'm under te f2a category.. I have seen that a lot of people in this category are waiting for visas just wondering how long they will have to wait or how long I will if I get approved?

Can I ask u how u know this? So no one waiting for a visa right now will get one for 2 years?

Try to educate yourself how priority dates and visa bulletin work.

Right now people that applied in March 2013 will get their visas, and as the bulletin's PD for F2A moves forward, they will be getting theirs. If you apply today, you'll get yours in ~1.5 - 2 years. Of course that's all somewhat speculation, as no one can really predict the movement of the bulletin.
