I-485 2 year wait ?

Hello ,

My wife had her biometrics taken 12/30/2012 yet nothing was heard after that . I have called The UCIS many times and they create a service request , the result of the request always seems to be "it's in background check" .

My question is would be normal ? is there anything else I can do ? I have contacted my senator with little success.

If your spouse is from Thailand then she may be in stateside administrative processing, which can take years in extreme cases.

You should contact one of your congressional representatives and/or the DHS Ombudsman for assistance.

OP, provide the full timeline which you haven't done so far.

Check the case numbers on uscis.gov.

You do realize you have congressmen and the second senator in your state who can inquire on your behalf with USCIS?

Google who they are, make an appointment with their local office, and come prepared with copies of NOA-1 for I-485 (and EAD, AP) and signed release form and ask for the immigration liaison aide to go over your case and get the status updates. Get that person's email address and phone numbers and check weekly on progress.
