Hello,

I have just received a RFE. They asked me to send my original Marriage certificate.

Has anyone else gone through this ?

If I send my original one then what are the chances of getting it back ?

24-03-2015 DS 260 submitted online
25-03-2015 Confirmation email received from NVC
21-04-2015 Received Checklist
27-04-2015 Checklist documents sent to NVC
06-06-2015 Received email for case approval

26-08-2015 Interview scheduled for 22nd Sep 2015

22-09-2015 Visa Approved

I think there is little chance that you will get it back. Can you get an official copy?

Are you sure it was for the original? Can you get a certified copy? You can get it back, it's just quite a process to do so.

That's odd, I never knew that they ever asked for the original. It's possible they were doubtful about the copy you sent in. In any case you need to get another certified copy of the marriage cert. Get two because you will need the another one for the NVC process.
