Vacation and Conditional Green Card - Does this sound correct?

My husband and I are excited to be going on a cruise (his first) with my godparents in late February. I was mostly concerned about my outdated Canadian passport when we were booking it. Of course, I realized after that -- my Conditional Green Card expires on February 6th. Oops. The passport issue (old last name) has been taken care of by a fairly speedy Passport Canada. Today I called USCIS to learn more about the now more pressing issue of the CGC. The agent I got was talking very quickly and ended up being difficult to understand. If I got the gist of it correct, I should be fine as long as I present both my conditional green card and the receipt of my filing for the I-751. Are there any other details that I'm missing/should look out for? Thanks. :)

Nope, when you travel just present your conditional green card and NOA1. You will also need to look out for your biometrics letter and possibly an interview letter. However, if you file at the beginning of the 90 day period (prior to the expiration of your green card) you should have already completed your biometrics before you travel.

On a side note, if you file your I-751 at the beginning of the 90 day period, you might be lucky enough to be approved before traveling. CSC has been fairly quick recently.

They've been slowing down, most likely helping VSC's load. There has been only one approval for the July filers, and we're going into October.

Thanks for the responses, I'll just bring all possible receipts just in case. :P We'll probably be filing as soon as we get to the 90 day period. I know they can be fiddly with timing/slowdowns so I'll be hopeful but not expecting an approval by Feb 22nd.

Yes, it's kind of annoying!!! Does VSC usually get more states than CSC, or why VSC always seem to be slower than CA? I mean usually...right now CSC is also slow as heck...
