Hello,

I'm a US citizen and I am trying to help my mother, who entered US under the visa waiver program, get permanent residency here.

I filed I-130, and filed I-485 a week later.

It's been few weeks since I filed I-485, my mother was called in to do biometrics and now we were waiting for a interview.

But today I got this letter saying I need to send in more documents.

I took screenshots of the directions here:

I already filed I-130 prior to filing I-485. And I filed I-864 along with I-485.
What should send in for this case? Just proofs that I filed I-130?

For the second page, it looks like it's asking me to file I-485 Supplement A which will cost me extra $1,000.

But my mother did enter US with inspection under the visa waiver program. Am I really required to file Supplement A? If not, what else should I send in?

Thank you very much in advance.

This website has been really helpful.

You should have mailed them all together. Since you did not you should have mailed the NOA-1 from the I-130 with the I-485. Since you did not you must now mail proof you filed the I-130 prior to filing the I-485 i.e. the NOA-1 from the I-130.

It appears you need to submit the affidavit of support, I-864, along will all the required evidence such as complete tax returns and W-2s or tax transcripts.

It appears you did not submit a copy of the I-94 with the I-485. This is needed to prove how the person entered the US.

So I can just send in the receipt I have for I-130, is that correct?

For I-864, I already filed it along with I-485. I've sent them my tax transcripts and everything needed. I don't think I need to file it again but I'm not sure what I should send them.

For I-94, I'm not sure I have a copy. I can find info from this website https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html by entering the passport number and there is an option to print. Will this work instead?

Thanks

1. Yes

2. Never hurts to submit it again. Make sure it is a complete tax return with all the schedules/forms and all the w-2s or a tax transcript available from irs.gov.

3. yes
