Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.

Once you have your visa in your hand, you can start making plans for travel. Remember that you only have until the expiration date on the visa to enter the US. Also you should pay the $165 immigrant fee on the USCIS ELIS website before POE to avoid delays in receiving your GC. It can take 3 months to recieve after POE. However, upon entry you will be an LPR and can use your visa with the entry stamp on it as proof of your status. If you have been married for less than 2 years at POE, you have to do ROC in the 90 days before your GC expires.

This does not constitute legal advice.
