Traveling in US during AOS, how to book ticket?

Hi....

I am now during AOS process waiting for green card. Currently I have combo card of EAD and AP under my married name. And also my State ID card is also under my married name. However, my passport is under my maiden name. I am planning for a trip to San Francisco next month but I'm wondering

1. which name will be used to book flight ticket to San Francisco.

2. Are there any documents that I should prepare for traveling e.g. passport, ID card, married certificate, letter from USCIS?

I entered US with K1 and applied for green card within 90 days.

Please help

04/04/14 - USCIS received date

04/08/14 - Fingerprint fee accepted

04/09/14 - USCIS Noa1 notice date and check cashed next day

04/11/14 - Got text/e-mail notification for I-485, I-131 and I-765 at 1:09 a.m. & check cleared in the morning

05/06/14 - Fingerprint done

06/12/14 - EAD card production date & AP approval date

06/20/14 - Received EAD/AP Combo card in hand + text/email notice for delivery status :lol:

07/14/14 - Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver case dated 07/10/14

02/24/15 - Renewal EAD/AP Noa Date

03/18/15 - Requested help from Ombudsman

03/19/15 - One fingerprint done for EAD renewal

03/25/15 - Requested help from Senator

04/01/15 - Case has been transferred to field office in Columbus, Ohio

04/09/15 - Card was ordered

04/16/15 - Card mailed

04/18/15 - Received GC in hands finally! (no welcome notice)

02/21/17 - Sent package to VSC

02/23/17 - Package delivered 

03/30/17 - Finger print done

I-130 Approved : 2015-08-13 (30 days)

DS-261 reviewed over the phone:2015-09-17

Agent registration email: 2015-09-18

IV fee available: 2015-09-18

IV fee paid: 2015-09-22

IV fee showed paid: 2015-09-23 right before the end of the working day at NVC - at almost midnight EST.

Social Security card arrived only after the visit to SS office, on 01/20

Green Card arrived: 2016-01-27

From NOA-1 to the interview - 141 days (4 months and 18 days)

Hi everyone.

I came from Cuba seven months ago and I am now during the Adjustment of Status process but I have my Employment Authorization Document and the Advanced Parole which might let me go to Cuba. Do you guys know about the risk to go outside the USA in this situation?

Drivers license is fine for US only travel.

As NLR mentions, a valid state DL is appropriate for interstate US travel. :thumbs:

Hi Marley!

Base on what I know. it depends on what kind of visa you have before you apply for GC. If you came with student visa (for example ) it's better waiting until you get GC to go back your home country. But if you came with K1 and adjust status before 90 days after your US arrival, it would be find for you to use Advance Parole flying back Cuba. However, many people experienced long wait to an interview room at US immigration when you come back to the US. Don't forget to prepare all document with you e.g. letter from USCIS, married certificate to prove that you are really waiting for GC.
