Doubt after sending the I-129F

Hello all, I'm new here and I've been reading a lot of forums just to prepare myself for this whole process. I just had a doubt on the 34A. question on the I-129F form asking "describe the circumstances under you have met." What I wrote in those small three lines was

" I met xxxx at the bar he was working at during my internship in Porto Alegre, Brazil." I mean that really was all that I could fit anyways. I know I could have attached another paper but I thought that was sufficient enough to answer how we met... but I think I interpreted the question wrong.

So I was thinking that I was suppose to just describe how we met. I've been researching more and I see many users saying that we have to describe how we met in the past two years. Since it didn't specifically say describe all the circumstances that you have met in the past two years I didn't put this down. I was living over there when I met him and then went back two more times. I'm just freaking out now because I feel like I didn't answer that question well after reading what many other users wrote and now I'm scared they are going to make me do it again. Can someone direct me to the right track to eliminate this doubt? Thank you advanced!

I don't know if you have to include a full statement or letter, but you should have written a letter of how you guys met and how your relationship developed. This is what I did and I also summed it all up into those 3 lines.

I'm not sure how important it is if you didn't include a full statement. I think they are more concerned about the fact that you met in person within the last 2 years. If they do need additional info, they would just send an RFE and ask you to submit whatever they need.

I wouldn't be too concerned though, this isn't a cause for denial and they may not even question it if the other evidence is sufficient.

You won't have to do it all again, but if the person dealing with yours requires more they will send you an RFE. Its no big deal may hold you up a little but not to the point of redoing it.

If you feel this may be the case write a letter about it now and have it saved to your computer, then if you do get a RFE you have it ready, just date and print.

Try not to stress over it, nothing bad will happen because of it

Well, you will just have to wait and see what happens. If I were in your situation, I would go ahead and write out a detailed version. This way, if they send RFE or something, you'll be prepared in well advance and can send them the next day.

For me, I wrote one full page, which included three paragraphs (single spaced). Started out with how we got to know each other. Second paragraph was how we met for the first time, and finally how I proposed to my fiancee.

Oh, also I have been told the CO's interview questions are based on the information you have provided on this question.

My husband only wrote " met through internet" and for evidence we had attached printout of our first conversations on YouTube and how he contacted me. We did not get RFE and got approved in 38 days.

I never described how we met in the last 2 years, just how we initially met, which was online.

The evidence you supplied of you two meeting in person in the last two years (photos, passport stamps, boarding passes, etc), will be enough for them. If they need more, they will issue an RFE, so long as your respond quickly and provide everything they listed, all will be well.

The only thing required of question 34 is a statement from you of when and where you met. That is describing the circumstances of how you met. Simply this: WE MET ON [DATE] AT [PLACE].

If you didn't list specific dates, that could be a concern because that meeting must have occurred within two years of the filing date.

Wrong.....only the place and date where you met in person....not your relationship.

If you met in person more than once is of no concern, they only want to know about one meeting. You don't get extra credit for additional meetings in person.

They would've had to met in person to be approved. It's just not necessary to put that in your answer to get approved as long as you send evidence of meeting in person. If you read the entire question it refers to marriage brokers etc. I think they just want a quick statement as to HOW u met.

A supplement letter of your entire 'love story' and relationship is not required.

It may have been best for them to have included the date of when they met in person in their short statement, but if they have plenty of evidence of meeting within the last 2 years, then they may be fine with what they wrote.
