Hello everyone, my wife filled out the i864 form as the petitioner but there is a place asking for my current income. I dont have a stable job. I only have a casual/odd job. What can she write for my income? Can she leave it bank? Or put N/A? Pls i need a good response on what to write for my current income. Thanks.

I guess she shouldn't have filled that part where it stated that 'Income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household size, including in certain conditions, the intending immigrant". (See Instructions) Please indicate name, relationship and income. This is what is the page im talking about

No please have her redo it. It's petitioners income. You would be check listed in a hot minute. Good thing you asked.

Do you mean she should leave the part empty, N/A or put her details there?

Yes your income unless you are self- sponsor is not to be on this list. Are you continuing this same job when you get to US (transferring).

The I-864 is about the petitioner and do they meet the guidelines if not she needs a co-sponsor someone living in US who is a citizen or a LPR (Legal Permanent Resident).

Please i am kinda confused. I didn't get your message well. I am not doing the same job when i get to the states. I am just doing it here for the main time till i gets to my wife. She makes $41,000 annually. Does she meet the guidelines? And what will be written at the page i told you about.

Yes she meets the poverty guideline. The form i-864 should have all her details. She can fill N/A on all spaces that does not apply to her.

I am just tired cos she kept saying that they are asking for my income which i told her that the form is basically all about the petitioner. Did you get the page where she was talking about? And she should put N/A or leave them empty right?

The page you are talking about is PART 6. She should only fill her income on Part 6 question 5 & 10. She should write N/A on all spaces. Beneficiary's income is not needed on form i-864.

I think you should send Saylin's wiki to your wife so that it can guide her. You will get checklist for any single mistake she make on the form and it will cost another 60days of waiting.

Here's Saylin's wiki: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Thanks so much. How many months paystubs does she have to include? Does it have to be the most recent ones?

If paystubs have year to date just the most current will suffice.
