Hi guys,

I'm new here. i'm in the process of bringing my wife over from China. So far i have completed the d-261 form and i have submitted the paid AOS.

A couple of days ago i got an email saying i had to pay for the IV, but when i check there is no invoice available. Its listed there but the option to pay is at $0.00 and has no check mark.

Am i missing something?

Also i wanted to ask, for the D-260 app do i have to submit my wife's police and birth certificate in original form? I mean getting anything from China to the States has proved difficult to say the least. Is there any way that scans or pdfs can be submitted? These should be submitted with the D-260 app right?

Once that's done whats usually the time frame for an interview? We are hopping she can spend the spring festival(Feb) with her family then come over.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I am in the same situation. Got a email with the IV invoice yesterday. Went on the website and it shows 0 and no check box available. Called NVC to find out the situation and was told that I have to let the system refresh within 24 hours. Checked today after 24 hours were up and same situation. Still shows 0. Later today got another email with IV invoice, thought maybe I'll be able to pay this time and still 0. I bet we have to wait till monday. I doubt their system refreshes during the weekend.

both are issued when hukuo book presented. what's up? is not concept to 'pull from file' as all are generated same day, new document, when showing hukuo book.

Suggest you enroll in the optional Electronic Processing path at NVC -

then all civil docs for IV, plus all AOS docs can be submitted via email.

sure - must to show originals on interview day, but that's not the point - the point is to shave time, whenever possible,

as

paper casefiles sit in bonded storage in Guangzhou, a China Customs Warehouse, per treaty with the USA, anywhere from 2 to 5 months after leaving NVC.

Shift to EP, asap, nowish.

I already submitted the AOS by mail and just paid the iv fees. Is it too late to enroll in the electronic processing? And how do i do it?

no, not to late.

check out Ryan H's stuff on how to enroll, also call NVC, talk with a supervisor, tell them you want to flip to electronic processing. It'll mean you resend the AOS via email, stored as pdf files, but that's a no-brainer.
