Hello,

So we received a letter that NVC was forwarding our case to Islamabad with the file number and to fillout DS-160 in August.

We have submitted DS-160 online (sep 16th), and created an online account on the portal listed below:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/index.html?firstTime=No

I am a bit confused about the next step?

Do we wait for embassy to contact us first with packet 3.5 OR should we go ahead make the fee payment at the Allied Bank and schedule an interview appointment at the embassy, via the portal?

I have a letter from work and my bank but I am holding off sending it from here since I am not sure how long it will take t o schedule the interview and can get ones dated much closer to the interview?

Thanks,

You need to wait for packet 3.5 via. email and then fill out the DS-160. If you have filled it out already then it may be ok. Once your have 3.5, you would need to assemble the documents listed and send those over to the Consulate in Islamabad (immigrant visa unit) via. a courier service such as AmEx travel. Some of those documents will be originals such as birth/death or marriage certificates If the consulate has what they need they will then contact you and schedule your interview. I received an email for the interview, copy of it is posted below.

Once your interview is scheduled and you have a letter or email from the embassy, ask the beneficiary to get his/her medical completed.

The applicant pays the visa fee at the consulate.

I already sent signed affidavit and all the supporting financial documents along with my initial I-29f. Yesterday I sent them my most recent pay stubs and a current employment verification letter from my work place using their online contact form.

------

Dear Mr. (the petitioner),

Our record indicates that we have received the documents including the bar code information. Subsequently, Ms. (the beneficiary or the applicant) has been scheduled for an interview to our office for September 29, 2014, at 7:00 AM.

In addition, Ms. (applicant) is required to bring the following documents to our office on the day of her visa interview.

* Affidavit of support (I-134) alongwith supporting documents

Sincerely,
Immigrant Visa Unit
Consular Section, American Embassy
Islamabad, Pakistan

What I am not sure if the above email message is sufficient to schedule medical for her.

07/27/17 - K1 packet sent at the end of day.

07/31/17 - NOA1

03/22/18 - NOA2

08/28/18 - expected date for medical completion - Sputum test was needed

09/22/18 - anticipated interview date
