EAD/AP combo card emergency

my wife did her biometrics about 2 weeks ago ,and we looked on the usics website that her card has been ordered , but she has a emergency , her mother is in the hospital in her home country and she isnt doing to good , could she go with out the card and when the card arrives i bring it to her , or does she have to wait for that card do enter her country or does she only need it to re enter the USA ???

Make an Infopass appointment and bring proof of emergency: http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/travel-documents/emergency-travel

If her request is approved, she will be given AP on the spot.

Do not rely on what the website says, it's too risky: if she leaves the US before getting AP, her adjustment of status will consider abandoned.

I believe the link you meant to put is http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/travel-documents/emergency-travel (there is something on the end of the link making it go to a 404 page).

I agree. Don't leave before you get the AP in hand. When she leaves they will know she has left, and it could cause problems on return.

if her card has been ordered hopefully it will not be too long until she gets it. but agree with others, info pass is probably the best option.
