How can i contact a live representative at USCIS?

I've been trying to speak with a person but the robot says that i should call between 8am-6pm. Right now im in Houston and is 8:53 and Chicago is one hour ahed of us. I dont know why it keeps telling me that...

Any sugestions?

This link below gives you the answer you seek, though I had good success in letting them call me back using their service using the "THEY CALL YOU" link.

I entered my phone number and clicked start and it would have them call me, but be ready to pick up fast or they will hang up.

Actually Huston and Chicago are both on Central time. The robot should be telling you to call between XX and yy Eastern time which is an hour ahead of you--if it is telling you Pacific then it is 0653. You call between the times mentioned and wait...and wait... and wait. Not sure why you would want to waste your time calling them as the first person you talk to will be clueless and reading from a script. You need to ask for an ISO which we call a Tier Two Human here on VJ. Your chances of getting any results goes up slightly. Why not ask your question here on VJ?

A window should pop up that allows you to enter your phone number.

Then it might take a while but eventually it will work.

It was very disappointing for me to see that myself.

Trying to get through with little success and the "gethuman" site helped a lot.

Good when they called me instead of waiting on hold for time (which seemed to be) without end.
