CENOMAR question

Ok we have a strange situation which we need help on.

Details:

Beneficiary is Filipino

Previously married

Divorce was final 05March, 2014 (yes it is possible, will not go into here)

We have Court stamped Divorce Order, Certificate of Finality and the original NSO Annotated Marriage Certificate (the final NSO document is the original marriage certificate annotated on the side stating the date, judge, court circuit of the divorce final pronouncement of divorce - this is on the NSO special paper, NSO stamp and signed and attested by NSO Chief Document Manager - copies of all of this were submitted with the I-129F petition)

Her cousin was approved for a k-1 today and spoke with someone whose "case was the same" (that's all the info I have) and that person stated that she was originally denied because she didn't have a CENOMAR. Reading on the NSO website is looks like a CENOMAR is only for those who have never been married. We can apply for a CENOMAR, no problem, but what would it say.

If anyone here has any experience like this we would really appreciate any help and advice you can provide. Thanks.

The CENOMAR would still show the marriage. Since you have the NSO Annotated Marriage Certificate, you're fine. They will just verify it before handing the visa. I believe you need to get the Advisory of Marriages too (CRS Form 5)?

In abu dhabi usem all she needs to provide is her annulment paper/with all the required documentation from nso...it's written in the appointment letter..if she is previously married, cenomar is philippines specific for single person.

Different consulate have different requirements,is her cousin and that "someone"also went to abu dhabi for interview or in different consulate? Just for us to make everything clear.

Her cousin went to the Manila embassy and spoke with someone there. But for clarity this is not an annulment but a divorce.

In my nationality filipino, we dont have divorce, is the ex husband is from other country too or is he also filipino? Or are they muslim?

Being everything has been recorded at NSO the CENOMAR (CEMAR) will be annotated to show the divorce. At NSO you always request a CENOMAR, if married (or previously married) NSO will issue a CEMAR with the annotation showing the annulment, or as in your case the divorce.

Being everything has been recorded at NSO the CENOMAR (CEMAR) will be annotated to show the divorce. At NSO you always request a CENOMAR, if married (or previously married) NSO will issue a CEMAR with the annotation showing the annulment, or as in your case the divorce.

"This certification is based on the records of 1945-2014 marriages enrolled in the database as of August 30, 2014."

"Issued upon the request of XXXXXXXX for Marriage To A Foreigner"

But we have the original of the Annotated Marriage Certificate. We included that and the stamped court documents in our I-129f packet which was approved.

Since we will interview in Abu Dhabi, not Manila, will we need the CEMAR? Should we get a corrected one. She will go on holiday to Manila in December so she can go to NSO if needed, actually will go to get extra copies of the Annotated Marriage Certificate. Out interview will probably be in FEB based on NVC and Abu Dhabi timelines.

I don't know what is required for Adu Dhabi, I would suggest reading the embassy instructions letter for that embassy. Or email/call them.

In abu dhabi usem only divorce paper or death certificate is listed requirements for the previous marriage. But i will suggest to bring cemar and marriage cert with annotation just to be sure.it's better to prepare and bring all the necessary document.goodluck ?

But should the CRS 5 be annotated with the divorce like the marriage certificate? That is my primary question, if so she can go to NSO and get it corrected or should we just ask the NSO?

I did read the forums for Abu Dhabi and kind of got a mixed message, one with an annulment just brought the court documents and the annotated marriage certificate others were not clear.

Once the divorce has been accepted and recorded with NSO I believe they would annotate the CEMAR. You will need to check with NSO and/or the attorney that handled the divorce.
