I have been wondering the same thing! the only info I can find on here is pretty old, but it says that the American citizen is strongly encouraged to attend the interview in Lima, which is quite different from most embassies...

I am not applying for a K1, just got a CC at NVC, waiting for an interview date in Lima for a CR-1.

Does anyone know if the US citizen fiancé can be at the interview for a k1 visa in peru? My fiancé would like me to accompany him if at all possible and I would like that as well.

Yes, the US citizen fiance can. It actually it would be recommendable. I just attended the interview for my wife for her K3 visa and everything was great and smooth at the embassy. I saw other reviews for K visas from other Peruvian filers that they attended too :-)

Yeah, I saw that information too on the US embassy in Peru info on VJ. I also checked on the reviews from other Peruvian filers and that is the reason why I attended to the interview. See a couple of reviews whose petitioners attended the interview:

I know half a dozen people who interviewed in Lima in the last year who didn't have their fiancé or spouse with them. They all did fine, us included. But if you have the opportunity to attend with your significant other, it can only be helpful. Good luck!
