Any LPR orginally from Mexico can help please?

Hello,

I would like to ask if when you travel to Mexico and come back to USA, all you need to show is the GC or is also required to show the Mexican Passport? Isn't the GC good enough? is it any different if the PoE is by land or airplaine?

10/11/16 (Day 71) Biometrics completed. *Also, received on the mail response letter from previous service request filed with copy of Biometrics appointment letter.

11/11/17 (Day 466) Case Status changed to New Card Production

11/16/17 (Day 471) Case Status indicate  New Card being sent on the mail .:dance::dance::D:dance::dance::dance:

11/17/17 (Day 472) I-797  Notice of Removal of Condition being approved received in the mail.

11/20/17 (Day 475/15 months 18 days) New Lawful Permanent Resident arrived in the mail; card in hand at last! :dancing:

I doing this link that tells what's needed. Someone here with experience can tell you for sure. It looks to me like you need to have both your GC and passport.

I traveled to Nogales, Los Algodones and San Luis by land many times, I only showed my GC and answered some questions when sitting in my car.

I am curious to hear more experiences to make sure what I need to travel to Mexico. In the past I had to show my passport because that is where I had my F1 visa, now that I have the GC and I would imagine that should be enough. I know people who say they bring their passports with them just in case but they don't answer me if they are required or not since they show passport before even being asked for it, so it is confusing to me.
