Dusseldorf / Frankfurt

Hey All,

Our I-129F application was just approved and the consulate that we had listed on the application was Dusseldorf, Germany. Idk why I didn't check this before or why the USCIS didn't fix this for us, but apparently Dusseldorf doesn't process visas at all. Do I need to change this or will the National Visa Center realize the mistake and send it to Frankfurt instead.

In our approval letter, it mentioned that we could file I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to change the consulate, but the filing fee for that is $405!!! No way I'm paying that just to change the consulate. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks,

John

If Düsseldorf doesn't process visas the NVC will send it to your closest embassy that does.
