Did anyone here got TB history and got pass after sputum test culture? I am so worry. My sputum smear results is negative. And now i am waiting 2months for the result. Not because its negative it doesn't mean youre okey, right?I have TB history back in 2012! I heard once St.Lukes call you early it means your DOT. but if its not your lucky.

Oh GOd! Does anyone can share me or have TB history got negative on there Sputum Test Culture Result?

I'm not sure how the process works, but one of my cousins had TB and she was treated for it. She was able to get her visa just fine and didn't have any problems. TB is a treatable disease, but I'm not sure how the process plays out when someone is positive.


If your results are negative, simply having had TB in the past definitely shouldn't be a problem.

The best thing is for them NOT to call you early during the SPUTUM culture test. There have been a fair number that have done the SPUTUM, waited the two months and the culture was negative - they then completed their medical and got the vaccinations.

Of course DOT (Direct Observation Therapy) is the other option, having to taking medication at SLEC for 6 months.

Thank you everyone. My sputum smear is negative last Aug 29. I just hope and pray that everything is fine. And hopefully they are not going to call me early during my SPUTUM culture test. I expect to call them on Oct28.(My Birthday)!! Hopefully God give me the good news on my birthday.

My wife did her sputum test five weeks ago. The smear was negative, just hoping it stays that way. Best wishes for you.
