what the heck US embassy in Warsaw, Poland....?!

hi guys!!! so today i FINALLY received the letter from the US embassy saying they received our petiton!! but i was surprised to find out that they did NOT include any information about the medical stuff or what all i need to bring to the interview...where is the supposed checklist?! i did however receive some pages in...Russian!!! maybe that's the checkllist and the info I needed and was expecting, but I don't speak Russian and i wonder what the heck is going on, did they send me information in Russian on accident? It's clearly stated im Polish! lol. What should i do??

and the other thing is that they also sent me a copy of our petition...I129f....and there's a stamp "approved" and dates changed as we got originally approved april 18 and then it got accidently sent off to the NRC so our "new" approval date was august 11....but um there are two things i want to ask about this petition, there is some stuff they wrote on it. first thing is that they circled "single" in number 8 where it asks bout marial status...and then they did the same on the next page where it asks for the martial status of the foregin fiance....why would they do that and what can that mean?

You are both single. That is what you want. You are not married, right? So you are single. Maybe this is an English problem? I'm not sure why you would worry about that so much.

No, I meant that THEY circled the word "single" themselves, after we both already checked it. And I don't know why they would do that. It's already checked by us, lol.

Yes I have read but it's actually really hard to contact polish people on here...I found another forum that's polish so hopefully that will help out...

btw i checked that warsaw embassy website but i still cant find info bout the medical stuff..

It doesn't matter why they checked it. You don't know everything they do for the visa, right? So why try to guess what they are doing or ascribe meaning to something when you don't know what is normal or not? Just let it go and relax

The medical stuff is linked on that page, then there are instructions in polish, russian, and english, I think. Maybe you got the russian page in the mail by mistake, you can compare it to the one there, then get the polish one instead. It's hyperlinked in the "Medical exam" paragraph.

The Affidavit of Support form I-864 is not required for K visas. However, petitioners must provide proof of adequate financial support once in the United States to ensure the applicant will not become public charges. Documentation regarding financial support can be in any form so long as it contains enough detail and information for the consular officer to conclude that the beneficiary will not become a public charge. Petitioners may submit the form I-134 if they wish.

i thought the affidavit of support is called the i-134?! weird...so with all this in consideration, would you, if u were me, take my co-sponsor's tax returns to show them?

I would fill out a I-134 and definitely include sponsor's tax forms and proof of sponsor's current employment.

There are two affidavit of support forms. The one for K-1 visa is I-134. Then you will have to do I-864 for Adjustment of Status.

BTW, that consulate webpage with the document checklist also has links for filling out the DS-160 and info on police certs.

The adjudicator most likely circled that you were single as they were going over your petition to approve your case. Being single and free to marry is one of the main requirements.
