Hello everyone I haven't seen any recent thread talking about appointment dates so I've decided to make this one in order to see the we received NVC letter too,but no appointment packet come to me...what you can do is try to call USEM and ask them if your case is already in their system, if they have it already you can schedule your interview online now...because you cannot schedule your appointment if they don't have your case yet,if you already have your NOA2..there's a possibility that your case was already there,you don't need to wait for them to send you an appointment....because I remember....last year we wasted 4months waiting for them to send it but nothing come until I emailed and called the Embassy and they said they no longer send appointment and that they already received my case the time I received my NVC letter and I can now schedule online....very confusing but better to follow up news of everyone that has the same case

Okay our Case Completed At the NVC in 23 August 2014 Still No Interview ! Does anyone knows how long it's gonna take them to schedule an appointment for us . Thanks in advance

We received our NOA2 on 6/19/14, and our letter from the NVC dated 7/7. The CEAC website showed that our case was ready on 7/9. It was our understanding that the consulate was going to mail the packet to my fiance. After about 10 days with no news, we started to wonder if maybe it got lost in the mail. He did not always receive my cards and and letters in the past, so it was a valid concern. My fiance even talked to the postal service to find out...they hadn't seen it. I tried to call to no avail - either I couldn't get through, or I did get through and they told me to call back at a different time. There was no response at all to my emails.

So, on 7/23, he went to the embassy in person to see if he could find out what was happening. We weren't sure if it would really help, but thought it was better than sitting around wondering and doing nothing. He brought a copy of the NOA2, the letter from the NVC, his ID card and passport. During Ramadan, I don't think they were keeping the same hours, and they might have gotten a little behind because of that - not sure. In any case, my fiance was able to pick up his packet and schedule his interview (8/26) on the spot.

So, it might be worth making the trip to the embassy in person. Can't promise anything, but it worked for us. I have no idea how long we would have waited otherwise.

You can certainly try. I didn't have much luck that way, but maybe you will.

But I've heard that the NVC itself schedule interviews am I wrong ?

I don't know for sure, unfortunately. I know only that my fiance made his appointment at the consulate the day he went there. As far as I am aware, no interview date existed before that. Maybe it's different for IR1/CR1's?

Cr-1/ir-1 are scheduled through NVC. Have the petitioner call on Tuesday to see if it has been scheduled. I've seen a couple people from Morocco with case completes got their dates in the past couple days. Check in to dwheels thread list in the first reply.

Okay alot of misinformation here. IR1/CR1 Visa interview appointments are handled by NVC. Contacting (emailing or calling) any embassy will do nothing because they don't have your casefile.

You can not schedule your own interview. Only K1's get that honor.

Only until your casefile is sent after interview is scheduled is your casefile sent off to embassy.

Right now NVC has started October interviews for various embassies. You can either call and see if your embassy has started and if you got an interview or wait for interview letter. It seems to be coming 1 to 5 days later.
