My spouse recently got a new passport with my name added and old passport number printed on the new passport.

But, my spouse didn't get back the old passport from the passport office. Spouse only got the new passport.

Will US Consulate in Mumbai ask for old passport during interview ?

no need old passport

Thanks. But luckily, my spouse went to local PSK and asked about old passport. They had the old passport and gave it to my spouse. It seems local PSK will hold the old passport for a month before sending it to regional passport office. So, if you want to collect old passport, visit local PSK within a month of getting new passport. Otherwise, we have to collect the old passport from regional passport office.
