guys....pretty sure our petition has already reached the embassy in Warsaw, but i still haven't received a letter from them. i keep on checking the status on the CEAC website and it gets "updated" every other day....today it's been updated yet again! so what does this mean....how can they still update it if the petition is in my country in the US embassy........who is "looking into it"?

Have you tried calling the embassy?

indeed i did, but getting thru to them is literally a miracle....i sent out an email few days ago, surely they will answer next week. the ceac state has been "ready" for over a week now, and the "status update date" keep on changing, changed again today...what can this mean? why is it keep on being updated if the petition isn't at the NVC or in the USA at all anymore?

Ready in CEAC doesn't mean embassy received your actual paper file or they did not have a chance to enter it in the system yet. You can call NVC and they can check is actual paper file was received. My status is ready since August 19th, but actual file was received in Abu Dhabi on 21st, but they still did not enter it into the system and it's 9th day since paper file arrived there. I am worry myself, but I was told all I need to do it wait. Also no way to call them and e-mail replies take at least 10 days :(

that sucks...im sorry...hope it resolves soon for you, as it does for me..so the nvc is capable of knowing and telling me whether the petition has reached the embassy?

Yes, every time someone at the embassy looks at your file, the date gets changed. Every single time.

i agree with frontgear. it is every time that they touch your file. For example the first time may be the electronic copy then the second may be the actual hard copy of your petition. Then it will be updated yet again when they send your packet 3. I believe its fairly normal to see the date change quite a bit

I would not worry about it too much. It will drive you absolutely crazy trying to decipher what the embassy is doing to your case. You'll need to get out of the panic mode and go about your daily life until contacted by the embassy for the next step.

They letter from NVC will come. Just give them time.

well i hope everything is alright, hard not to be paranoid after all we've been through, like when our petiton was lost and missing for 3 months. but yeah hopefully i get the letter from them next week...and i can start on the physical and pay for the interview & schedule it. thanks!

no, we did already receive the letter from the NVC stating they sent our petiton off to the embassy in Poland, well my American fiance received it. i know the nvc has sent it off about 10 days ago. i was just asking why were they updating the status so much and if i should be worried about that. and wondering why the embassy hasn't mailed me yet if they received the petition, ain't no way they didn't if it's been like 10 days since nvc sent it off and the status has been constantly changing so the embassy must have it in their system i'd think.
