Uh, I don't even remember how many we sent, but when we had the interview, I saw that they were still in our file, neatly in their ziploc bags and everything! They didn't even need them, I had another picture taken for the cards when I did my biometrics.

6 sounds about right for the beneficiary... or 7 even? Only 4 or so for the petitioner. Look it up in the form instructions and on the VJ filing guides. Good luck!

Haha I was thinking the same a couple hours ago. I read the instructions at the end if July but I didn't pay too much attention since there were another more important things I needed to do first.

I was reading instructions today and thinking "ok 2 pictures....1 more....2more..... Wait what? How many?? "

So I had to write my name and my husbands read the instructions again and adding numbers next to our names everytime I read "you need passport pictures size blah blah " hahahah

we sent 6 passport style photos and we are only applying for i485. Two are only needed, so the 4 are back up photos. :-)

I believe the person mentioning passport photos for the USC filed AOS from another visa than K-1. For AOS from K-1, just 6 photos of the immigrant.

You need 2 photos for the I-485 (AOS) application, 2 photos for the I-765 (EAD) application, and 2 photos for the I-131 (AP) application. Six in total.

Make sure they are the right size, when my fiancée sent me hers they were small had to redo.

We sent 6 for each person when adjusting from K-1 and K-2. We got the EAD/AP card and they used the photo they took at the biometrics, they didn't even use the photos we sent. I have yet to see what photo they will use for the green card.
